Arbitrum faces an important challenge in the Layer-2 competition: turning technical scalability into lasting economic activity. Lower transaction costs are attractive, but they are only part of the equation. Developer retention, applications people genuinely use, and liquidity that stays within the ecosystem will ultimately determine whether Arbitrum maintains its competitive position.
