Filecoin aims to create a marketplace where storage providers and customers interact through blockchain-based coordination. The central challenge is converting available storage capacity into consistent commercial demand. Enterprise requirements, retrieval performance, pricing competitiveness, and repeat customer activity matter more than capacity figures alone.
